Privacy policy
What this website collects, what it deliberately does not, and what happens to either.
The short version
This site collects the minimum needed to answer an inquiry. There is no account system, no payment processing, and no advertising network. Information you submit goes to one inbox — mine.
What the contact form collects
When you submit the consultation form, the firm receives:
- Your name and email address
- Your company name, if you provide one
- Whether you are inquiring as an employer or an individual
- The category you selected, if you selected one
- Any deadline you noted
- The description you wrote
What it deliberately does not collect
The form does not ask for Alien Registration Numbers, receipt numbers, passport numbers, Social Security numbers, or dates of birth, and it will reject a submission that appears to contain them. This is deliberate. Information sent before an engagement agreement is signed is not protected as confidential, and the safest handling of sensitive identifiers at the inquiry stage is not to receive them.
Once we are engaged, documents are exchanged through a secure channel rather than through this website or ordinary email.
How that information is used
To respond to your inquiry, to assess whether the firm can take the matter, and to run the conflict check that has to happen before any engagement. It is not sold, rented, or shared for marketing purposes. It is not used to build an advertising profile.
Inquiries that do not lead to an engagement are retained only as long as needed to maintain a conflicts record, which is itself a professional obligation.
Service providers
A small number of vendors necessarily process data on the firm's behalf: the website host, the email delivery provider that sends form submissions and acknowledgements, and the scheduling service used to book consultations. Each receives only what is needed to perform its function.
Cookies and analytics
The site sets a session cookie and a cross-site request forgery token when you interact with the contact form. Both are required for the form to work securely.
If website analytics are enabled, they are used to understand which pages are useful and are configured to avoid collecting information that identifies you personally. You can block analytics with any standard browser setting or extension, and the site works normally when you do.
Email you send directly
Ordinary email is not a secure channel. Messages sent to the firm's published address travel over the internet in a form that is not fully within anyone's control, and they are not privileged before an engagement exists. Please bear that in mind when deciding what to put in one.
Children
This site is directed to businesses and to adults seeking legal representation. It is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect information from them.
Your requests
You can ask what the firm holds about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, subject to the record-keeping obligations that apply to lawyers. Write to [email protected].
Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here with a new review date.
